BNI Terima Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Award 2009



Sebagai salah satu bank papan atas BNI masih dipercaya publik menjadi bank yang peduli pada isu-isu lingkungan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Hal ini terbukti dari penghargaan yang diterima oleh BNI dari NGO Asia Pasifik (Enterprise Asia) untuk dua kategori sbb:

1. Green Leadership Award
2. Community Engagement Award

Malam penghargaan berlangsung pada hari Senin (23/11/2009) di Hotel
Sang-rila dimana BNI diwakili oleh sebelas orang, masing-masing lima orang Pemimpin Divisi, tiga orang anggota Corporate Sustainability Team dan tiga orang SKC Purwakarta termasuk debitur Kampoeng BNI Subang. Tampak pada foto: Intan Abdams Katoppo, Corporate Secretary BNI (mewakili Direksi BNI) menerima Award dari Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chang Onn, Chairman Entreprise Asia.

Kriteria untuk Green Leadership Award adalah sbb:

  1. Partisipan memiliki tanggung jawab yang besar dari dampak bisnis mereka terhadap lingkungan dan berusaha untuk mengurangi atau mengubah dampak itu.
  2. Partisipan secara sadar telah mengimplementasikan program-program atau usaha-usaha yang di dalamnya termasuk (tak terbatas pada): efisiensi energi, tanggungjawab produk, rancangan produk hijau, pengurangan limbah, konservasi air dan daur ulang.
  3. Faktor tambahan akan diberikan kepada partisipan yang memiliki program pengurangan dampak kerugian disertai program untuk mengubah dampak kerugian tersebut.
  4. Partisipan telah melakukan integrasi kinerja lingkungan ke dalam strategi pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development strategy) dan memiliki laporan tahunan yang terstruktur dari kinerja tersebut. 


Kriteria untuk Community Engagement Awad adalab sbb:

  1. Partisipan harus memiliki program atau proyek-proyek yang memasukkan unsur pengentasan kemiskinan, kesempatan pendidikan yang lebih baik, meningkatkan kehidupan orang-orang miskin dan yang tak beruntung serta program-program lain yang melibatkan komunitas masyarakat dalam bisnis mereka.
  2. Partisipan harus dapat menunjukkan secara jelas rencana keterlibatan/keikutsertaan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan, disertai bukti berupa business case (dalam hal ini seberapa besar masyarakat lokal mampu menerima benefit dari bisnis tersebut baik dalam jangka pendek maupun panjang). 


Di Indonesia, pemberian penghargaan dari Enterprise Asia merupakan penyelenggaraan yang kedua kali (pertama tahun 2008). Kalangan CEO dan konglomerat turut hadir dan sebagian mendapatkan penghargaan antara lain sbb: Mochtar Riady (Lippo Group), Chairul Tanjung (TransTV dan Para Group), Bank Mandiri, Jakarta Eye Center, Bosowa Group, PT. Samudera Indonesia (LTP).

UNDANGAN KAMPANYE DAN NONTON FILM CLIMATE CHANGE

TCP Indonesia (LSM yang dibentuk oleh AL GORE) mengajak rekan-rekan untuk menghadiri kampanye antisipasi perubahan iklim di Teater Utan Kayu dan Dharmawangsa Square pada hari SABTU, 24 Oktober 2009. Acaranya GRATIS.

October 23rd, 2009, the next day, October 24th, in conjunction with the 'United Nations Day' and 'The International Day of Climate Action', 'The Climate Project Indonesia' will continue the campaign to a larger audience through organizing an event called "350. Berani?!" or "350. Dare?!" in 2 locations. "Teater Utan Kayu" and "Darmawangsa Square" This event is a cooperation between The Climate Project Indonesia, '89,2 FM Green Radio' and 'Life Begins @ 40'.

Why 350? 350 refers to 350 ppm, the save level of atmospheric CO2 concentration. In September 2009, the atmospheric CO2 concentration has reached 384.78 ppm.

1. Teater Utan Kayu

Program:

- Film Screening:
1. "Lakukan Sekarang Juga" or "Do it Now", a short film about the climate change and its impact within Indonesia context. A co-production of 'Kemitraan' and 'Dewan Nasional Perubahan Iklim'
2. Short films, winners of Think-Act-Change The Body Shop Documentary Film in 2007 and 2008
3. Discussion with Dorothy Manalu from DNPI and Suzy Hutomo from the Body Shop (Climate Change Campaigner trained by Mr.Al Gore)

- "The Green Lifestyle Clinics". Consult with our 'green' doctors to get tips on how to contribute to the efforts to tackle the climate crisis. Our 'green' doctors are: Dicky Edwin Hindarto (energy efficiency, carbon trading), Suzy Hutomo (green home & green business), Nana Firman (green architecture), Yani Saloh (garden & forestry) and Indra Prakoso (hobby).

- Signing of "Declaration to Secure our Future". This declaration was initiated by Mr. Al Gore with The Climate Project. The signing of this declaration is unique. It is written in a piece of fabric using Batik wax. The participants will sign the declaration with wax using 'canting' (the tool to make Batik). The signed declaration will then be processed to become a piece of Batik. We will send this piece of Batik to Al Gore who will bring it to COP 15 in Copenhagen.

- Music performances

- Photo exhibition and slide show. "Images of the Climate Change". A collaboration between The Climate Project Indonesia with its partners such as CIFOR, Fauna Flora International, Jakarta Green Monster, and many other organisations

- "The Green Lifestyle Clinics". Consult with our 'green' doctors to get tips on how to contribute to the efforts to tackle the climate crisis.
